CONCEPT ART
For my last brief in second year we had to create a 40 second - 1 minute film. This was my pitch document to show my concept work for this film, turnarounds for each of my characters and the story. I really enjoyed doing this as I could express any idea I wanted and create characters that would really work.
To the left of this text you can click and view my pdf pitch document. Around this you can see little extra that I added to my pitch to give some insight into the type of characters and there personalities.
Following on from the previous images of the concept for the second half of that brief I then had to create a background for her to be placed on to be able to animate in cel action. It was inspired by the childlike ways in which I designed the character below (princess character). I took that and thought of a treehouse I then used some images I found of the circular staircase and added them to the front of the castle. This is one of my favourite backgrounds i have created.
For my second year of university I did a concept module. We had to design a main character, friend and vehicle. I used the inspiration from the amazing world of gumball to take form from this.
For my first year in University i have had to design a character from scratch that i will be animating for a walk cycle. This is what i came up with in a week.
I am really impressed with what i have done however there is always room for improvement.
